This year, Beta Gamma brought back the traditional Anchor Splash swimming relay races to benefit Service for Sight. Our members recruited numerous teams, most of them including athletes from each sport here at the University of Utah. We had a great turn out, and it was so much fun to see the football team, basketball team, and soccer team trade in their usual gear for swim caps and Speedos!
Our next event was held at our favorite local frozen yogurt shop, Spoon Me. The owners were kind enough to let us host an event at their store and collect donations for the philanthropy. Since Spoon Me is a popular place close to campus, we were able to raise awareness for Service for Sight and collect donations from several students and neighbors.
Finally, we kept our chapter tradition of an Anchor Splash 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The boys on campus look forward to this every year, and it gets pretty serious and competitive! We also made custom Anchor Splash jerseys to sell to the players and fans, which were a big hit. We had more teams than ever this year, and it was a great way for other Greeks as well as friends and family members to get involved.

Ten Colorado Springs alumnae participated in the MS Walk yesterday in honor of our DG president Cheryl Johnson who has MS and 12 Beta Delta collegians joined us. We returned to the lodge where the entire chapter had gathered and we held the alumnae installation ceremony followed by the alums serving a light brunch. With finals on the 13th and graduation on the 18th- it was a bittersweet time. They lingered and laughed, sang, reviewed scrapbooks-a great time together.

Helen Dunbar Lucas Alumnae Academy
Our region was well represented with 12 attendees: 1 British Columbia, 4 Colorado, 1 Idaho,
2 Nevada, 1 Oregon, 1 Utah, and 2 Washington. Everyone had a super time meeting each other, brainstorming, and learning ways to improve our leadership abilities. By the end of the weekend we were all amped up with a whole bunch of tools and ideas to share with our chapters and associations.
